NAARSO may elect to provide a scholarship(s) to an individual(s) who exemplify the NAARSO mission. Those eligible to apply include students, scholars, professionals, and others possessing specialized skills or knowledge. Scholarship awards are intended to cover in paying for registration fees only. Applications for scholarship(s) will be reviewed by an ad hoc committee appointed by the President. The committee will recommend candidates to the Board of Directors. The committee recommendation is not binding on the Board. The Board shall have complete discretion for any and all scholarship awards.

ELIGIBILITY:
In order to be considered for any NAARSO scholarship, a candidate must:
1. Be a NAARSO member in good standing.
2. Have not received any NAARSO scholarships in the previous three years.
3. Be at least 18 years of age upon application submittal.
4. Have education and/or experience in the amusement ride industry; OR verifiable volunteer
experience within past two years within the amusement ride industry.
5. Complete the scholarship application and submit by the application deadline.
RESTRICTIONS:
➢ No member of the NAARSO BOD, or their immediate family, shall be eligible to apply for
scholarship assistance during their tenure.
➢ NAARSO retains the right to not award scholarship grants in any year if no candidates are
determined to be qualified or for any other reason.
➢ Scholarship applications will be due no later than December 15th of each year
➢ NAARSO shall notify the chosen scholarship recipient(s) of its decision by December 31st via
email.

➢ One James Barber Scholarship (AHJ only)
➢ One Dan Dudley Scholarship (First Time Attendee)
➢ One Jack Silar Scholarship (Open)
➢ One NAARSO Good of the Order Scholarship (Open)
➢ Four OABA Scholarships (must be an OABA member)
